US-Russia: Africa

Moscow is strengthening its relations with Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger. These countries see in Russia, among other things, a chance to break free from the “pseudo-domination” of the West and to overcome neocolonial dependency. They had already chosen their name—the Sahel Alliance—and presented it to the international community.
